Yoga Nidra is a path that takes us back to our own hearts. It is a guided process for entering into an effortless state of being where the mind drops away. Although Yoga Nidra is often described as ‘effortless sleep’, paradoxically it is more about awakening.

In Yoga Nidra, the body does not move. As you drop into stillness your
physical body actually falls asleep, while your mind stays alert.

Yoga Nidra will meet you wherever you are.

It is an excellent stress reliever and helps with insomnia, anxiety, depression and
pain management. It can be used as a tool to make space for creativity to emerge.
Yoga Nidra is also a form of self-enquiry; it is a direct experience that helps us to come to our own knowing.

We will usually begin with a combination of energy releasing sequences,
joint freeing movement, breath work, sound and mudra.
The session will include either one long or two short Yoga Nidras.

We have a NEW teacher, Dorit Noble,
Alternating weekly between 6pm-7pm and 7:45 to 8:45pm

'Polishing the Heart' is a Sufi term for the inner work or clearing congestion from the Heart centre in order to deepen our connection to the All that Is.
Mudras are an effective form of energy work that can be carried throughout a person's entire life, regardless of age or flexibility.

Please wear loose comfortable clothing. Cushions and blankets are provided.

Ana has two children and (like many of us) has learnt the importance of core strength through childbirth. Many of us loose some core stability during pregnancy and labour, and then realise how important it is. But you don't have to have children (or be female) to benefit from this understanding. Improved core strength reduces back problems, helps prevent injury and improves balance and stability. Ana has studied both Yoga and Pilates, and will share her knowledge and practice gleaned from many years of investigation and a keen personal interest in this theme.

Baby Yoga classes at The Yoga Hall are a welcoming place to connect with your baby through movement and touch. Post Natal Yoga and Baby Yoga are interspersed throughout the class encouraging both mother and baby to be present in the body in order to understand our selves and each other. Classes combine flowing movement, songs, games, holds and lifts in a relaxed environment. The high quality physical stimulation a baby receives during a class helps him/her to sleep more soundly and to be more settled. Digestive and nervous systems are also stimulated contributing to a contented and healthy baby. Parents benefit by releasing and strengthening their body, whilst energising with the breath. Particular emphasis is put on gently re-establishing core strength. After class we have plenty of time for tea and biscuits, to make friends, ask for advice and share insights.
