Yoga Class Checklist
What to wear, what to bring, in-person and online via ZoomYou can join our classes in-person or online.
Thank you all so much for your continued support. We want to do whatever we can to support your health and well-being and the continuation of your Yoga practice. Our classes reflect the need for managing anxiety, resilience and lung health.
We have a large hall with plenty of space for over 30 people to attend in-person to our classes. We lay out under mats to make sure there is easily enough space for you to stretch out in every direction. Some classes are limited due to practicalities, like Baby Massage (14) and Restorative Yoga (16).
All classes must be booked online. All in-person bookings are fixed price, but you can still join for less by Zoom if you like. See below.
(If you are a student, out of work, or experiencing financial difficulties, and want to join in-person, please contact the class teacher to see if there are any available in-person places before you pay for a cheaper Zoom place.)
Pre-arrival Checklist
Please read the following check list before coming in person to The Yoga Hall. Most of it is common sense…
- Please wear any loose, comfortable clothing that you can stretch in.
- Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early.
- Bring your own Yoga mat if possible. Or you can use one of our mats.
- Before entering the hall, leave your shoes on the shoe rack. Usually we practice barefoot.
- Our brown base mats will be distanced to allow space between each person. Roll out your own mat on top.
- Wash your hands, or use hand sanitiser, before and after class.
- Please do not come if you feel unwell. You can join by Zoom.
We share most of our Yoga classes via Zoom. If this is your first experience with our Zoom classes, please allow a bit of time to book a class, register with Zoom and familiarise yourself with the Zoom App. You can download a free app for your computer or mobile device HERE and create a free account for yourself. Zoom works well on your smart tv, computer, laptop, tablet, or phone. Book your place through our booking system, then you will be sent a Zoom link via the email registered on your booking account.
When you join on Zoom your sound will be muted automatically, but you can unmute at any time if you need to speak. Set your Zoom screen to ‘Speaker View’ to get the best view of the teacher. We much prefer if you have your camera on so that we can include you in the teaching attention, and in-person participants can include you in their awareness too. The screen at The Yoga Hall is not huge. Try to set up your camera to allow the fullest view possible of you. You can of course, keep your camera off if you need to, or if your practice area becomes busy and distracting.
We realise some of you are struggling on very low income, or unable to earn at all. In these uncertain times, we have also taken the bold step of inviting you to join our classes via Zoom in a spirit of generosity. It must be worthwhile, dynamic and sustainable. We want you to feel welcome to participate. You are the one who identifies your contribution. We have allocated a few spaces at a lower prices. Just go ahead and select which one you can afford. Students and those on benefits can pay half price. We are very excited to welcome you as part of this courageous and generous community!
